Yeah, I know! Why would people
wanna know that??
Good plan. Bodies
are sooo important. If you haven't taken some art classes already and learned
a little before this, I highly recommend it. It takes a lot of practice before
this comes easily.

Well, here's some examples of good proportioning and just all around great pics. Notice how I went over them with the stick figures? Get used to them my friend, you'll be using them a lot from here on out. My suggestion? Before continuing, print off some pics of your favorite bishies and go over them with a pencil, just like i did in these pics. See if you can trace where their skeletal structure is. Careful, some pics can be tricky!
Now I KNOW you
really did go trace on those other pics, didn't you! well, here's our first
try doing a stick figure all on our own! The pose is very simple, nothing
tricky on this one. Let's use Mika as an example.
Well, that's
the next step Mika! Drawing in curves and muscles on the figure. Since the
figure is female, there will be a lot more curves and less muscle.
See how the body
fits snugly right over the stick figure? That's what you wanna go for! A few
pointer to remember when drawing your figure...
Females are on
average, 6 to 7 heads high. See how yours measures up. Is it close? If the
character is male, it will be closer to 7 or 8 heads high.
Lots of people
get confused on arm length. the arms should hit about mid to upper thigh.(that
includes the hand) If they're shorter or longer than that, your proportions
are probably off. Do some erasing and fix it if you can!
Last of all, add
in the details!
