Tenka is a natural born fighter especially when it comes to close combat. Tenka's only wish in life is to surpass the amazing fighting abilities of his father. So by his father's side, he began to train. He caught the attention of Dotoku Shinjin, one of the twelve Sennins, who offered to train him in Kunrun, a holy city of the gods. So off he went to train and to, hopefully surpass his father some day. Tenka will stop at nothing to win a fight. The anime and manga differ from each other in what happens to Tenka during the story. In the anime he loses his mother and aunt from suicide. He then fights against the evil Dakki and other crap and lives happily ever after. In the manga, he also loses his mother and aunt from suicide, but also his father is killed in battle. Tenka is also killed in battle shortly after. Which totally sucks. |
Kime: Yatta! Tenka is one smexy guy! He is an awesome fighter with those light saber type weapons he has. Obi Wan can't even compete! There really isn't very much info out there on Tenka, at least not that I could find. He's a really funny guy. The first time you really see anything of him in the anime is when he's looking for food at an inn. He picks up a guitar and starts playing it and singing a song. It's not that good. He really isn't a singer. Good thing he has that whole fighting for justice thing going for him. Even the inn-keeper calls him and his singing strange.
Here is some info about the Paopei that Tenka uses. A Paopei is a weapon used by the Gods that uses the the spiritual energy of it's user and from the surroundings. Different paopei work in different ways, depending on their construction.
| Bakuyanohouken - This is the sword-like paopei that Tenka normally uses. It's similar to a light-saber and can cut through pretty much anything. |
| Bakuyanohouken II - This weapon is similar to the Bakuyanohouken except that it has energy blades coming out both ends of the handle. It is harder to control and more powerful. |
| Sanshintei - These are a miniature version of the Bakuyanohouken. Basically they are like throwing knives. |
| Karyuuhou - This is blade weapon that can conjur fire. As the blades twist and turn in the air, flames come out burning anything in the way. (Only see these in the manga) |
Kime: Woohoo! Tenka is hot! I really love the Houshin Engi anime. It's so funny and dramatic and all sorts of good things rolled into one. Youzen was initially my favorite from the show, but when I saw Tenka . . . oh, baby! The costume and character designs are so good for pretty much every character in the show, but especially when you get into the manga. Holy crap! How do they come up with some of those?! Awesome designs, awsome story and awesome bishounen . . . that's what I have to say about Houshin Engi. Oh, and here are some more reasons I like Tenka . . .
