Shin-chan is from the manga (now anime and movies) Nana by Ai Yazawa. Shin is
the bass player for Blast. He's the youngest member but by far the most mature.
He comes from a dysfunctional home. He wishes that Hachi (Nana Komatsu) was his mother and Hachi has become his surrogate mama. Unfortunately he has some bad habits for a 15 year old. He use to moonlight as a prostitute... I know! Bad shin-chan! Reira from Trapnest (a rival band) became one of his clients. During that time he stopped moonlighting as a boy toy, I believe Yasu (the Father figure of the band) had talked to him that it's bad for the band and he fell in love with Reira. He continued to see Reira but not as a client.
Throughout the manga Shin's hair became more spikey and he received more piercings. He's just so lovable!!
Personally I find it hard to remember that Shin is only 15 years old. I stated above that he seems to be the most mature in the group and that is usually why I keep forgetting that he's only 15. He's been through a lot with his home life, even though not a whole lot has been discussed the readers are given enough information to understand that he's not wanted there. And the band members are now his family and he's been crashing with Nobu when he's not staying the night at some ladie's house. (But who do you place the blame with? Shin or the ladies that pay for his company?)
And here's a glimpse of Shin 5 years into the future. Not much has been reveiled about the future lives of Shin and the other band members but the readers are given peaks throughout the course of the manga.
