Name: Saionji Kyouichi

Anime: Revolutionary Girl Utena

Age: 17

Born: August 25

Blood Type: O

Hair: Green

Eyes: Violet

Grade: 11th

Likes: Kendo, camping (especially the cooking outdoors part) and exchange diaries

Saionji is the captain of the Ohtori Academy Kendo team and the Vice President of the Student Council. As a member of the student council he receives letters from someone know as "End of the World." Basically people with a special signet ring duel each other for possession of the "Rose Bride" for the chance of being the one to "Revolutionize the World."

love than ponytail!!showing off his blingswording among roses

Throughout the series Saionji seems to have several different roles and personalities. Some of these include: playboy, abuser, best friend, big brother, romantic, villian, protector, sore loser, and at times comic relief. He seems to be an enigma of sorts with his personality always in flux. You get a glimpse of his true self twice. Once during his suspension from the academy and then at the end of the series. Both of these times he seems to be out from under the strange influence of Ohtori Academy and End of the World. Perhaps these are causes for his personality fluxuations. He, as well as several other characters, were puppets under the control of the academy.

thirsty, Saionji dear?freak curry accidentkicked out of school

After the first arc of the Utena series, you get to see the more positive personalities Saionji has to offer. There are a couple of times he falls back into his bad ways, but most of the time he seems to have at least a small amount of control over himself. Maybe his temporary expulsion and escape from the academy opened at least his subconcious to the realization that something almost paranormal was affecting those in contact with Ohtori Academy and even more so those connected with End of the World.

You'll have to watch the series and come up with your own theories.

Kime: When I first saw Saionji and the way he acted I thought he was a complete &*$#@!!

Saionji: Nooooo!!! Say it ain't so, Kime!!!

Kime: But after watching the entire series I managed to form more of an informed opinion of him. I fell in love . . . *sigh* I realized he was more than just your stereotypical villian and that there was a lot more under the surface that the evil control of Ohtori Academy tried to supress. In simple terms . . . he's actually a good-hearted guy. A very misunderstood and a very strange guy. His character is much deeper than at first presented. It just takes some time for you to actually see it. So for those of you who only consider Saonji a shallow and cruel character, take some time and actually take a good look. You may be surprised at what you learn. I know I was.

Saionji: Awww . . . how wonderful you are, Kime!! Please accept this rose as a token of my love!!

Kime: *blush* Oh! How sweet . . . of course I'll accept it, sweet Saionji!

Saionji: One more thing . . . would you like to start an exchange diary with me?

Kime: . . . ummm . . . let's see what the other Femmes think of you first . . .

awww . . . little Saionjinothin' like cookin' in the great outdoorsStrike a pose!Yummy Yum Yum!!

Ty-chou: Stay good, Saionji! Stay good....you bastard.

No-chan:

Nie-chan: LOL All I can say is I'm so glad no one is home right now... I died at that last picture - what the crap?! LOL Kime, you know you want to exchange diaries with him. Then you can discuss *beep*, *beep*, and cheese. Oh man, this whole show is like "huh?" @_@ All I can conclude from this is, school makes you evil - cause he's sure nice when he's away from school.

Pan-Pan: Wah... I hated Saionji until he started to be "good." I didn't even think he was that pretty. You know me, I go for the slutty men... like Touga... *cough* I mean uh... I like the... more refined... gentlemen... yeah... >_> that's it... Eh heh... Anyway, after I saw the series though, I liked Saionji a little more. And I have to admit he was pretty darn hot posin' on the hood of that car...
