Prince Kail is from the manga series Red River by Chie Shinohara. Red River is about Yuri, a young woman who is dragged into a puddle of water and emerges in an ancient village in the Middle East. Hot men and adventures are had by all. (well the hot men aren't had they're seen!)
His favorite past time is trying to get it on with Yuri (well as far as she'll allow him to that is.) He's also a priest of the highest order (obviously not THAT kind of priest) and he controls the wind. He also is excellent with a sword, bow, and as a general. He is also the best charioteer in the land.
He is the third prince of the Hittite Empire (There are six princes). His mother was the late queen, so even though he is the third prince he would be emperor if anything happened to the eldest prince. And when he does become emperor his ambitions are to rule the empire with justice. He wouldn’t invade other lands or allow their land to be invaded. He wants a peaceful empire. But he does believe that peace must be won at the point of a sword. He tells Yuri, “ We live in a harsh world. If we are weak, our neighbors will destroy us. If one wishes for peace, one must fight for it. If need be, I will fight for supremacy.”
He's a very smart and kind man. And he’s not a stuck up prince since he holds the life of a slave as dear as a noble’s.
He is constantly destroying the schemes of the evil Queen Nakia. And for that reason she would like to see Kail in his grave. (That and the fact that she wants her son on the throne.) Prince Kail knew that the Queen was up to no good by sacrificing Yuri, so he decided to rescue her.
Let me tell you, if I was trapped in the past, didn’t speak the language, and people were trying to kill me then I definitely would want to meet up with a Prince Kail. He’s your knight in shining armor except he doesn’t wear armor he wears robes (sometimes short ones), but he does show some leg! And I wouldn’t mind it if he was all over me.
And as an added bonus.... Prince Zannanza Hattusili
These are the awesome brothers and they go and do awesome things together. Zannanza is the fourth prince of the Hittite empire. Even though Kail and Zannanza have different mothers they’re very close. Zannanza is very loyal to Kail. Zannanza loves the ladies just like his older brother. “You think I rushed all the way here to talk of war with hairy men? I came to see the beautiful princess who has captured your heart.” Ah, brothers.

Kime says: Hehhehheh . . . I love Kail . . . and Zananza. Ty-chou got me the first volume of Red River a while back and I totally fell in love with it. The art is awesome and of course there is a little smut . . . We can all use a little smut. I really like Ramses in this manga. He is so sly. I'm in for the long haul on this manga series cause I think its at least 28 volumes long . . . oh well. That just means more Kail!!

Ty-chou: Oh, yay for Kail and Zananza! They are SO awesome together. And Red River is a fantastic manga. Yes, there is some good fanservice for everyone, but that's not really a bad thing now. But definitely not for the younger readers. The history and reasearch in this is really neat. Fushigi Yuugi has nothing on this one. Thanks Nie-Chan, for giving these bishounen some time in the spotlight!
