Kime: Hope you like my choice for August's BoM. Why do I like Haru? For one thing, just look at him! Yummy . . . ^.^ Mainly I think it's his personality. More the "White Haru" personality actually. Haru seems, on the outside, to be very cold. Yet, in reality, he is very kind and loving. He is especially concerned about his family, mostly for the other members that suffer from the family curse as well. When Yuki got sick, he purposely changed into an ox so he could carry him home. When little Kisa went missing, he wandered for hours in the pouring rain to find her. Then he brought her to Tohru because he knew she could help Kisa where he couldn't.
I think it's that dedication to his friends and family that I really admire. He has a lot of problems of his own, but seems to be more concerned about his family than himself. There does seem to be a sadness in him that is always present. That's probably why he has a cold outside appearance.
Those are my thoughts about Haru. I hoped I described him well enough for everyone. So now it's your turn. What do you all think of Haru?
Ty-chou: Hi! Taking a break from sassing Kime to
comment on her BOM. We'll see who gives the most sass, Oh yes. But on
with Fruits Basket. This is one of the few universal animes for all
the members of Fem-Gri-La. All of us adore this series and it's one
we can all sit together and watch and enjoy no matter how many times
we see it. I don't think there's a character in FB that I don't like,
all of it is great. Haru's such a sweetie. I do love how he's got that
stoic, tuff guy outter appearance to him, but inside, he's very caring
and he looks out for his friends and family. But that black personality
is kind of interresting as well. I'm still waiting for Akito to make
Haru mad and he'll go all "Black Haru" on his ass! Get 'em,
Haru-Kun!
No-chan: HmmmmMMm... Haru... heeheee.. I remember
when I first watched Fruits Basket and he showed up... on his sweet
sweet bike.. heh. The fun part of his personality being that he likes
to harass Kyo to death, but I also enjoy that he is so sweet to Kisa
and Yuki, and I LOVE that he eggs Yuki on about Tohru! I really can't
wait for TokyoPop to release this manga.. eeeeEEeeEee.... Anyway! Haru
is really really cute, and just a great pick, Kime! Good job.
Nie-chan:yeah, yeah I know I'm late! lol What do I think of
Haru? Well, he is gorgeous and besides that I like
both personalities. When he is black Haru, he knows
what buttons to push in his cousins. And he pushes
them!! lol yeah, like my family! lol
Pan-Pan: Oooooh Haru-sama!!! Haru is so cute! I
love that he has this cute, soft side to him, it's so adorable! But
he also has his wild side! and who doesn't love a guy with a wild side!?
^.^ I guess I'm just one that likes the punky-type guys. ooooh yeah.
I agree though, Fruits Basket is an anime that all of us Fems love!
And yes Yes YES i would LOVE to see Haru kick Akito to bits! Get 'im!
I think it's so funny when he and Kyo fight too! they're both so fiesty!
I like Kyo too, but Haru at least has his kind and nice side that he's
not afraid to show.(yes, kyo has a nice side too, but he doesn't like
to show it like haru does!) He's just an all around nice guy ^-^ yosh!
and of course, to quote gir, "The Cows are my friends!!!"
If you don't love cows, shame on you!!!!!!
